Food unites us all…hunger affects us all.

A Farm to School program that connects students and their families with whole, fresh, and local foods to improve student learning and the health of our community.

The Burlington School Food Project (BSFP) offers wholesome, fresh and nutritious meals to 3,600 students in the Burlington School District daily.

We are more than school lunch. We provide free breakfast and after-school supper to all students in the district, and an additional serving for fruits and vegetables in the classroom daily for students K-5. Think food service — Burlington style!

More than 33% of our food budget is spent locally including seasonal vegetables, dairy, meats, and fruits. Our growing farm to school team manages three farms (and new orchard!) directly on school grounds which are used for education, summer camps, job training programs, and summer courses.
